Canada Stands Together: Thousands and Thousands of Orders Strong

Toronto, Canada – Wednesday, January 29th 2025

Check out an extended video update to complement this post

Dear Fellow Canadians,

From the West Coast to the Maritimes, Canadians are stitching this movement together.

When we launched the Canada Is Not For Sale™ movement just three weeks ago, none of us could have imagined the tidal wave of passion and patriotism that would follow. To each of you who’ve stood with us: thank you. Your support has rewritten what we thought was possible for a small Canadian business—and together, we’re proving that love for this country can move mountains.

Key Progress This Week:

Shipped 2,000+ orders (with more leaving our Toronto facility every day).

Onboarded five Canadian embroidery companies who are hiring extra shifts, working 10-12 hours a day, seven days a week to meet demand. We've also brought on Canadian logistics teams, and customer service staff to handle fulfillment.

Saving Canadian Jobs by partnering with multiple Canadian companies that were facing very slow months and challenges related to US tariffs, hundreds of families and people who were going to be laid off are now working overtime or selling product this winter because of you!

Launched made-in-Canada t-shirts and hoodies in the store. We've already sold dozens and can't wait to see you in your new items!

Secured 100% Canadian-made hats and toques launching next week; limited-edition made-in-Canada ball caps have been purchased and will be added to the store today.

Committed to supporting Wounded Warriors Canada with a sizeable donation to fund free, life-saving counselling, education, service dogs and more for trauma exposed professionals: veterans, first responders and their families.

Thank you for your historic support of our Canadian movement. Due to unprecedented demand (tens of thousands of orders in days!), and very real tariff threats to our country we’ve overhauled our operations to prioritize Canadian production and jobs. Orders are now shipping from Toronto, with thousands more going out by tomorrow. Your patience fuels this national effort—thank you for standing with us.

Why This Is Taking Longer Than Expected

Let’s speak plainly: we’re in uncharted territory. Thousands upon thousands of direct-to-customer orders flooded in within days—a historic surge that stretched our original plans to their limits. We made the decision to pivot and switch from a digital, embroidery-on-demand service to an all-Canadian production team set-up to fulfill this volume of orders.

Where We Are Today

As of Monday (Jan 27), we’re officially shipping five days a week from Toronto— many orders are en route, with thousands more leaving daily. Based on our current ramp-up, we estimate your order will ship within 10-14 business days from today (Jan 29). Many customers who ordered earliest, like those who ordered January 15th and 16th should receive their order earlier.

But here’s the good news: Our Canadian embroidery partners are hitting their stride. By the end of this week, with their combined capacity they’ll be producing hundreds of hats per hour, and we’re optimistic we’ll beat that timeline. This isn’t just about speed—it’s about proof. Proof that Canadian hands can rise to this moment.

By spring, our goal is to have every hat, stitch, and finish be 100% Canadian. For now, some components and stock remain imported to keep pace, but every logo, stitch, and shipment for our Canadian orders is already being handled here at home.

Why This Matters

This isn’t just a supply chain—it’s a Canadian coalition. It’s about reigniting Canadian manufacturing pride.

Factories in Quebec are ramping up production. Embroidery shops in Toronto are hiring extra shifts. Truckers on our highways are shipping products. I’ve spoken with owners and employees at our new partners who are grateful for the business at a time of uncertainty. One business explained that recent tariff threats meant dire challenges to their business, but that this movement, Canada is Not For Sale™, and our business will be a lifeline.

Was it harder? Absolutely.

Was it slower? Undeniably.

Was it worth it? Every second.

Every order fuels this national effort.

What’s Next

  • This week: First 100% made-in-Canada hats and toques will be available to order.
  • Late winter 2025: Large scale manufacturing of made-in-Canada hats swings into full production.
  • By spring 2025: We aim to be offering exclusively 100% made-in-Canada products - cut, assembled, stitched, embroidered, and shipped by Canadian workers.
  • Follow Along: We’ll share factory tours, supplier stories, and “behind-the-seams” grit on social media. Use the hashtag #CanadaIsNotForSale

This is how we prove Canada is not for sale—one thread at a time.
